Sutton School Employee Spotlight: Gabrielle Bourassa

Meet Gabrielle Bourassa, Sutton School, Classroom Teacher!
Gabrielle Bourassa, also known as Mrs. B to her Kindergarten and 1st grade students, has worked with Sutton School for the past year. Prior to working at Sutton School, she worked at Lyndon Town School for three years.
Having grown up in the district, and going to one of the 天美传媒 elementary schools, Gabrielle has always felt a connection to the NEK and feels honored to have the opportunity to serve students in the area that she has always called home.
Mrs. B was asked a series of questions regarding his time at Sutton School and with 天美传媒 District. Below are some of the questions that were asked, followed by her answers.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working in a school?
Answer: "Young children are so excited about learning and coming to school! I love to see how students grow, both academically and as people. It is a very special thing to be a part of their school experience".
Q: What have been some of your favorite moments as an educator?
Answer: "Teaching and learning all comes down to the relationships that we build within our school community. The stronger the relationships, the better our students will feel and perform. Because of this, I spend a lot of time building connections with students. We have many conversations around encouraging ourselves and others to do our best. I love it when I have students working and I hear them encouraging each other with the prompts that we practice, like "You can do hard things!" or "Practice makes better!".
