Cupcakes for a Cause: Growing Community, One Flower at a Time!

July 1, 2025

Concord’s 3rd and 4th graders recently hosted their 2nd annual Cupcakes for a Cause, raising funds to beautify the once-barren strip of soil along Folsom Park and Route 2! This strip of soil historically was barren due to  the soil being compacted and  poor quality.

Thanks to a generous grant from The Coast of Maine and St. Johnsbury’s Aubuchon Hardware, along with donated mulch from parents David & Megan Birt, the area was transformed into a blooming space on June 12, 2025.

Big shoutout to our amazing parent volunteers — Heather Holycross, Amy Mason, Elisha Smith, Vanessa Kittredge, Jaimie Olden, Cassie Merrick, Lori Sheehan — and our awesome 8th grade buddies who helped with planting, grilling up a delicious cookout, running games like the water balloon toss, and chaperoning our movie on the big screen at the Town Hall!
